Algorithms

In addition to the development of ever more powerful instruments modern data reduction and analysis tools play an important role in our research. Our group actively drives and investigates the development of new algorithms and approaches in particular for high-contrast imaging applications. The key question is relatively simple: how can we detect and measure the faint signal of a planet in the immediate vicinity of the overwhelmingly bright signal of the host star in our images?
